They Picked a New Maytag Man!
But before you get excited - they stayed with tradition....
They could have at least taken a page from the book of Brawny Man or Mr. Clean...both those went "hot."
The Maytag Man has been VERY VERY busy at our house...and at OUR cost. And after hundreds and hundreds of dollars, I still have a moldy washer with a cracked interior 'barrel.'
I am personally very upset. Before Maytag was sold to Whirlpool last year, there were BIG problems. My husband bought the Maytag Neptunes (use very little water). They cost an arm and a leg. and They SUCK. (just google Maytag Neptune suck and you'll get an eyefull)
Just a little friendly advice: beware of the old fashioned "Maytag Man" image -- they have a LOT of work to do.... LOTS.
(oh and not that you care Mr. Maytag Vice President Jeff Davidoff, but beware of the karma boomerang coming around, and YOU have to hand wash poop out of your toddlers clothes BY HAND, after being up all night with your infant breastfeeding, because your Maytag Neptune was broken for the third time...)
I just might not be so upset if I had something a little cuter to look at.....might....
Which product "man" is YOUR favorite??????????? (hopefully sans the sob story!!)
Cheers! Heidi

Yes they stuck with tradition, but he's not so bad. He's your friendly neighboorhood repair man. But I get what you mean.
Regarding your expensive washer...a dishwasher instaler gave me this advice. He said never go for the expensive appliance. They don't last any longer than the less expensive ones. They all last about the same, 10 years. Also, go for the simple models, costs less to repair them in the long run.
The Marlboro Man, of course!
tesco - I had you more as a "Mrs. Butterworths" type....
Mrs. Butterworths? Heart attack in a maid shaped bottle? Nah. ;)
It's quiet but it leaves food particles to clean by hand, stay away from this model, it's a terrible dishwasher.
