How Much is NORMAL in Bed?
We've chatted before about "What is Normal In Bed"?
Lots of sharing --- from nothing, to 500 times a year. Which if you can do quick math, is more than once a day.....on average. Wow...impressive!! ??? (remember the "Arbor Day" story....that's the one of the 'days off.' - love it!!)
The fine folks at Durex came out with there survey again.
Worldwide Average: 103 times a year
United States Average: 85 times a year
Greek Average: 164 times a year (the 'winner')
Japanese Average: 48 times a year....
Now, the trick is to realize these are 'averages' - so there are some at zero. And there are some that must be as much as, if not more than the 500 times a year we heard about.
Nice to see some numbers to gauge against, huh?

I love the blog and the topic. Many a night, I lay in bed wondering if I'm "average." I am happy to report that I am utterly average.
What I am really wondering is what is the average length of each escapade? 10 minutes? 20 minutes? 30 minutes? I never see any surveys on that topic.

Acutally, the Durex folks tell us...
Nigerians: 24 minutes
Swiss: 19 minutes
India: 13 minutes
no word on how much acutal time vs. pregame activities...you know....
That has to include the whole shooting matching, right....from soup to nuts.
What would be really interesting if they could provide data based on how long you were with your partner. For instance, if you were with your partner for a year, then you would be doing it all day. If you were with your partner for 10 years, then maybe once a week...that would be interesting. I so badly want to be normal.

We are twice a week. Sunday night is giving and loving, a little over an hour. The second time for the week is a quickie which is more "selfish" is about a half hour.
That's not an hour of (excuse my bluntness) penatration????

We've been married for 3 years together for 11, and we go a good 4-6 times a week for 1 1/2- 2 hours, with a 2 year old.
We wait until shes asleep or taking her nap and its ON!.

The kid thing makes a huge difference. I cannot remember the last night I slept in the same bed as my wife without someone joining us in the middle of the night.

Dear Penthouse, I never thought it would happen to me ...
I would say that we're slightly above once a week. Almost always have weekend sex... rarely during the week. My wife has an orgasm 90% of the time (she's very lucky).. so the sex is quality sex. We're very in-tune with each other.
But I'm unhappy with the frequency. When I bring it up I feel so selfish and she feels so guilty that she isn't satisfying me. My wife seems happy with once-a-weekend. I want more! Is that bad???

When we have our quickies, the focus is usually on one person. We take turns every week. Try making her the focus, and after she feels incredable, she'll give back the following week. I don't orgasm everytime and that's ok. I don't have to , to enjoy it.

I knew mine wasn't normal. I am with an artist and we are not young, he is 48, I'm 54. He wants it non-stop every time we get together. So that means hours every time we're together, and every time we see each other. I'm not complaining.

I was reading this national average results here hehe. Did they iclude Hungarians in this survey or Israel ? It is well known that those two nations have a very high libido and average I/C lasts for well for over an hour or so. In the Anderson Cooper 360 F show back in 2004 the Hungarians scored number one as highest frequency of intercourses after a 10 year marriage. Which is no small accoomplishment doing it 5-6 times a week after 10 years of being together for the Hungarians.
As far as Greeks being number one, dating a Greek and have to say I absolutely can not complain. American guys suck in bed and do not last long. I will stick around with a hot blooded one LOL. Try a Hungarian, or a Jewish or a Greek lover unkless already taken. You will not be disappointed ! Frequent, hot and long sessions will tantalize a girl with those guys LOL.

Oh yeah, looked at the survey just now on that site. Hungary & Israel was not included. They would be around the level of the Greeks I'm sure.If someone likes a two three hour session every time, then they need to try a hot blooded nation.
