Are you a material girl, too?

I was so excited about Madonna's new line at H&M!! Almost as excited as this guy:

OK fine - he DOES work at H&M. I want a t-shirt!! Because now that I've seen the collection, I'm disappointed. The designs are great but the material feels cheap and looks shiny. Madonna's putting the "yes" in polyester with this stuff. And come on, who but Madonna could pull this jumpsuit off?

There were some pieces of interest - like shoes:

And sunglasses ($35!)

But I just wasn't feeling the clothes. I went for two accessories:

That's right - a black turban and a scarf-thingie. At least the scarf has some bling in it - I can't wait to wear it!

But the best part of the adventure for me was walking around with this plastic bag:

The bag told the world that I supported my girl on her first day in the stores! Apparently the women of Boston were not queuing up early - there was no stampede - it was no Stella McCartney-in-NYC showing. The staff was surprised at the low turn out but I think they were secretly happy - can you say "employee discount??"

Check out the whole collection here!

Cheers, Lara

Her collection may be "cheap and taudry" but someone out there will buy it.

OH NO! You bought the turban. The black jumpsuit was kind of hard to see but it looked "all right". Was it that bad?

I had to get the turban! I'll prolly give it to my Grandmother, all my hair doesn't fit up in there! The pantsuit is made of that shiny, clingy material which felt very cheap. Like most of the clothes, I loved the cut and the color but the fabric just didn't do it for me.
