Would you be a hair model?
Oh Brit-Brit. BALD Brit-Brit. Shaved your head and got you some tattoos. Poor dear. I've heard that your hair was so damaged from extensions and coloring that you already had some bald spots.
I get it - you were just finishing the job. Starting from scratch. Cleaning your pate (get it?). I get it, Brit-Brit! My hair almost fell out after too many perm + highlighting sessions, too. Maybe you're not going crazy, after all, you just were having a bad hair...day? week? month?
This is what my hair looked like in High School, I swear it was blonder in person:
That era was really the last time I cared about my hair enough to spend a fortune on multiple processes. In fact, shortly after that photo was taken, I started hair modeling. Brit-Brit, when you get your hair back, maybe you should try hair modeling, too! All you do is let a student cut your hair in a style that they think will suit you, or whatever trend they need to practice.
In other words, you have to be willing to let the student do whatever they want to your hair. This is where I usually lose people. But seriously - you can get a $150 haircut for $20 if you go to a fancy salon. And Brit-Brit, I think you'd be into this. I mean, anyone who would go bald is probably not too concerned about getting a bad haircut, right?
Last time I hair modeled, here's what I came back looking like:
Nice 'do, eh?
I have no idea how to make the back of my head look that good. And, I don't have the emotional attachment to my hair that so many women seem to have. Maybe Brit-Brit is more like me - with severely damaged hair I can see why you'd think it's easier to shave it all off. It grows back, people!
All you have to do is find out when the salons in your town have teaching days, and sign on up.
So are you game - would you try hair modeling??
Cheers, Lara

I would TOTALLY be open to that. I hate having to try and come up with new haircut ideas, but I always want something new. That's such a fun idea.
I did the hair modeling where the 'professional' (not sure how to define that) did a cut for the 'students' - so students watched, they didn't cut.... took the fear away for me : )
I finally got a new hair cut after 10 years with the same style. I HAVE BANGS for the first time since sixth grade and THEY LOOK GREAT!!! I always wore my hair really long; which, it's still long, just not so much. And, did I mention that I HAVE BANGS?! Sexy, wonderful, swoopy bangs!!! I need to post a pic of my new style on my website... although, if anyone is curious about my previous style it's posted there already. Just click on the main pic (my son and I) and it will bring up all of my other ones.
And, did I mention that I'm finally losing my baby weight?! Woot! Woot!
Good for you LMSP!! Keep taken it off!!
I would have no problem with being a hair model. I've had my curly locks short, long and everything in between. Now my FI...he'd have the problem. He loves me in the cut and colour I have RIGHT NOW...any change would cause issues. It won't necessarily stop me (after the wedding)...but will give me pause for thought.
I've done the bumble & bumble hair modeling in New York and it's awesome! The "students" are already professional stylists from all over the country who come to Bb to learn new techniques. As a model, you sign up for a specific cut (I did long layer scissor). Every time I did it, my hair looked fabulous.
YES! I teach at a cosmetology school, and it is absolutely amazing what fresh talent can do. They are excited to get creative, and they really put thier heart into it. Definately a great idea!
