Panic purchases!!!!!!!!!!
In all the engagement excitement, I almost forgot that Hannukah starts FRIDAY.
I'm SCREWED.
I was half way thru shopping when my lovely fiance popped the question (yay!)...so now, I'm in panic purchase mode.
So I have to ask... When you get a scarf/mittens/gloves from a close friend or family member, do you KNOW that you just got a panic purchase present?? Is it a thoughtless gift, even if they're very, very cute?
Am I over-thinking this because it's essentially December 23???
How about other panic-purchase ideas?? For the people who have EVERYTHING (read: PARENTS)?
Cheers, Lara

My panic purchases are scratch off lottery tickets and gas cards!
i bought my mother socks and a personal massager... oO i think you're thinking too much about this XD
I think we got Panic gifts from our friends. They gave out the gift packs you can get at Cosco.
My favourite last-minute gifts definitely include scarf/mitten/hat combos, I also like to give nice candles and snuggly slipper socks.
I actually planned to get my sister mittens because I know she's been wanting some for ages. I think they're a perfectly acceptable gift. (=
I have pulled a bottle of wine out of my stash and stuck a bow on it before. I never thought the Hat/mittens/gloves that I received were panic gifts. I thought, "Ooo- you made sure they matched my new coat." But the 2 pairs of slippers that my DH bought one year was a panic gift. They were 2 for $10.! So he had to give both- that counts as two under the tree. He always went out on Xmas Eve to shop. We had been married for about 10 years then. He never noticed that I NEVER WORE SLIPPERS! I've noticed that he goes out earlier now. Bless the procrastinator! We've been married 24 years now and he is better than he used to be. He takes a list.
