Et tu, Betty & Veronica??
Remember Betty & Veronica? Archie Comics? Anyone? Is this thing on? Well, they're getting make-overs. My girls! They've looked the same for 65 years, and NOW they're getting updated!? WHY? Oh, the humanity!!
I used to LOOOOVE Betty & Veronica - and even though I could relate more to Betty, I always wanted to be more like Veronica.
Ah, the good old days....
Remember that time they showed up at the Prom in the same dress??? Neither did I. Here's a reminder. Boy, that Veronica sure looks steamed!
What could possibly be done to these two lovely ladies, to make them even more perfect? Here's a sneak peak:
Sigh. No more baby fat. Betty's got pigtails instead of a pony tail (!?!) and Vernoica has cheekbones! Sigh. I prefered the 65-year-old look. Next thing you know, Dennis the Menace will be a 40-something father of 6, the kid from Family Circus will be in rehab, and Marmaduke will be out in that big pasture in the sky.

I remember being a little boy and struggling over which girl I preferred and would want to have as a girlfriend. It was so hard. Betty was so sweet and caring and cute, but Veronica was such a dark, sexy bitch who would fuck with you.
I ended up choosing Veronica.
I loved the Archie comics when I was young and to be honest I think I started out as a Betty but aged into a Veronica. I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing, but the remake they did on our 65 year old girlfriends, is a bad thing!
OK, I'm a total Veronica, and as such, I am NOT HAVING IT! They look like they're a couple of 40-year-old women decked out to take their kids to a "High School Musical" show and are trying to blend in.
I am a Betty but always wished I could be a Veronica. As for the update--ack! They look like comic book Barbie dolls now. And why is "new" Veronica's hair more blue than black?? The whole thing is just wrong, I tell you--wrong, wrong, wrong!
Im definately a Betty and proud of it!! As for the update, I think the originals will always be the best, long live the 65yr old girls! They will be in hearts forever, if not on our pages.

I think the new artwork SUCKS! There's no way I will buy any of the new art comics. If no one buys the new ones, maybe they will go back to the original artwork.
