hello, audrey

Who doesn't love Audrey Hepburn? Sometimes a girl could use a reminder of what an amazing woman she was, and if you've seen the new Gap ad, you know what a great reminder it is. Check it out here. What movie is that from, you're wondering? It's from Funny Face!

When I think, "Audrey Hepburn, ahhh" - that's the image that comes to mind. But thanks to the Gap ad, I remember - she wasn't glamorous ONLY in couture, she raised the bar on every style, even JEANS!! OK I couldn't find any good photos of her in jeans, but certainly no one rocked the skinny black pant like she did.

I may actually get me some of them Audrey Hepburn black pants, even though I feel like a sucker for falling for an ad campaign. And compared to the glam shots above, the pants below are almost frumpy. But I don't care, I want to be able to pull on some clothes that make me feel petite (even though they'll be a size 12), pretty (by association), and like Audrey (I know, I'm dreaming!). Are you in??

Love me some Breakfast At Tiffany's. And you're right - who doesn't love her? She's the epitome of adorable.

yeah but ugh, how's a not-rail-thin gal to rock the stove-pipe pants?

too bad that dance scene was one of here WORST scenes EVER. Crazy beatnik bar scene -- modern dance is FREAKY....and not so "modern" any longer!
(P.S. I still have my skinny Gap black pants from after college -- time to break 'em out!!!)

I adore her. I'll try anything with hopes that they'll fit. She was definitely a good role model.

I have to agree with amy. Me....in skinny black pants? Eeewwwww. I don't think my Spanx could get me that skinny.

I got some and they are awesome. I love Audrey (fanatically, actually). At first I worried about the commodification of her image but then I realized her image has always been a commodity and it doesn't take away from what a lovely person she was.
p.s. The pants fit great!

Audrey was a lovely person, and there should be more of her in this world. I didn't like the ad campaign because they didn't make her look as good as she is, and yea your right, that wasn't the best scene in that movie. Those pants were really expensive if you ever when there. But they went to the Audrey Foundation so that wasn't too bad, but still way out of my budget. I also think that everyone looks good in skinny jeans.
